The 2nd Tibet Film Festival in Hong Kong is held by Hong Kong Stand with Tibet, with the assistant of Tibet Religious Foundation of H.H. the Dalai Lama in Taiwan and other human rights assosiations.
Through movie and documentary we wish people will have more understanding of real Tibet situation.
Tibetan are really difficult to express their voice. We wish as a free Tibet supporter, we can deliver their voice to Hong Kong.
We hope that, through the films made by independent directors from Austria, India, Tibet and China, who highly concern about human rights, the audience can know more about the situation of Tibetans and also express the voice for Tibetans.
The Festival will be from 6th to 11th July, have 6 film screenings and talks. The 6 films will be Escape from Tibet, Goodbye Tibet, Banned Expression, Leaving Fear Behind, Dialogue and Dreaming Lhasa. These screenings aren't for commercial purpose, therefore won't be charged.
The speakers of the talks will be human rights lawyer Teng Biao, lawyer Cheung Yiu-Leung, professor Joseph Yu-shek Cheng and Greyreporter- Lo King-wah (wirter, blogger and scholar).
