Ritu Sarin
Ritu Sarin was born in New Delhi. She finished her schooling in London and returned to India to do her undergraduate studies at Delhi University. She then studied German and moved to Brussels, where she worked for three years at the Tea Board of India as one of their marketing representatives. |
Tenzing Sonam was born in Darjeeling in northeastern India of Tibetan refugee parents. After graduating from Delhi University in 1978, he worked for a year in the Tibetan Government-in-exile in Dharamsala. He then travelled for a few years, working at a number of odd jobs - dishwasher, landscape "artist" (lawn-mowing and cleaning swimming pools), manager of a car wash, etc. - in Switzerland, New York, Scottsdale and Los Angeles before ending up at the Graduate School of Journalism at the University of California in Berkeley, where he specialized in documentary filmmaking.

Dhondup Wangchen is a Tibetan filmmaker imprisoned by the Chinese government in 2008 on charges related to his documentary Leaving Fear Behind. Made with senior Tibetan monk Jigme Gyatso, the documentary consists of interviews with ordinary Tibetan people discussing the 14th Dalai Lama, the Chinese government, the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and Han Chinese migrants to the region. After smuggling the tapes of the interviews out of Tibet, however, Dhondup Wangchen and Jigme Gyatso were detained during the 2008 Tibetan unrest.

Wang Wo is a independent movie director, artist and designer. He's been working on artistic creation and design, and also performs as a active independent documentary film director. He is the founder and still working on the Li Xianting Film Fund, and the teacher of the Li Xianting Film Academy. Also, he has assisted the arrangement of Beijing Independent Film Festival and DOChina-Documentary Film Festival China. He has taken part in many exhibitions in China, Austria and Germany. Also, his film has been screened in many different film festivals, such as the 7th REEL CHINA Documentary Festival in New York, the United States, 2008 Vancouver International Film Festival in Canada, Asiexpo Lyon Asian Film Festivalin Lyon, France, and the 3rd, 4th, 6th and 7th DOChina in Beijing, China. In additional, he has been working with Ai Wei Wei Studio with several visual design projects in 2011-14. |
